Historical Area Restoration

Youth Leadership Hickman, a new 4-H group in Hickman County, wanted to restore an old iron furnace that is a local landmark. In their words, it was "tacky looking and overgrown with weeds." They cleared the underbrush and growth from around the iron works furnace and also removed vines that were growing on the furnace. They are currently working on gaining approval for a Tennessee Historical Marker to place at the site.
