Lewis County Senior 4-H Club

Projects for DHS

The Lewis County Senior 4-H Club adopted the Department of Human Services for a series of community service projects to help disadvantaged clientele with emergency situations. Many people who come to DHS for assistance have a great need for personal care items, cleaning supplies, and other basic necessities. The 4-H'ers assembled packets containing things such as shampoo, toothbrushes, and combs. Then several of the members delivered the packets to DHS.

The 4-H'ers felt they met their learning objectives for the project. There objectives were to develop and learn problem solving skills, practice good decision making skills, and develop and awareness of community needs.
