| Ok,
you camera buffs! Get your film ready and pick a way to help
your community. Here are a few ideas.
- put
together a pictorial history of your town
- take
photographs for the nursing home residents at a special
event, such as a birthday party
- help
other 4-H'ers record their 4-H work through pictures
- take
pictures of Head Start students during a visit from Santa
or the Easter Bunny
- photograph
historic tombstones in a local cemetery
- take
pictures for school, 4-H, and other community events
- conduct
a workshop to teach kids about photography
You
can also use your camera to take pictures of ANY service learning
project. Then, use the pictures as a reflection tool as you
and your fellow 4-H'ers write captions, make a scrapbook,
write an article for the paper, or create a display about
your project.
Tell us your ideas for service learning with photography!
