4-H Target Smart Camp

archery4-H Target Smart Camp is a program of Tennessee 4-H Shooting Sports. It is for youth who are enrolled in grades 5-12 on January 1 of the current calendar year. This resident camp is located at the W.P. Ridley 4-H Center in Columbia, Tennessee. At camp youth learn appropriate skills to succeed in a variety of shooting sports and related areas such as archery, riflery, shotgun use, muzzleloading, and outdoor skills. Programs emphasize safety, correct form, and responsible use. Campers should receive prior training before attending this camp.

4-H Wildlife Conference and Shooting Sports Camp

wildlife hike4-H Wildlife Conference is for young people enrolled in grades 6-8. The camp is a cooperative effort sponsored by the University of Tennessee Extension and the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency. The camp focuses on wildlife awareness and management, and hunter education. Activities include hiking, fishing, and shooting sports. See the brochure.

Electric Camp

girls building electric motorsElectric Camp is a fun-filled, rewarding adventure in electricity held at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. The camp features learning centers staffed by electric utility professionals. Each learning center will use hands-on activities that allow the 4-H members to learn by doing.

Electric camp is for boys and girls enrolled in
4-H who are in grades 6-7 as of January 1 of the current calendar year. Members do not have to be enrolled in the electric project to attend the camp, but they should have an interest in this area. 4-H'ers may attend Electric Camp only once.

Junior High 4-H Academic Conference

4-H'ers visit with zoo animalsJunior High Academic Conference is an educational program on the campus of the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Participants receive intensive training in their 4-H project areas under the supervision of university scientists and specialists, and explore related career opportunities. The conference provides a variety of rewarding and fun-filled experiences in classroom, outdoor and laboratory settings.

Fashion and Design Camp

Volunteer helps 4-H'er with sewing projectHow would you like to spend 3 days creating neat projects, shopping, meeting new friends, learning how to model and just having fun? If any of these things interest you, the Eastern and Central regions have camps you would love!

These camps offer an exciting chance to learn all about clothes, fashion and cool sewing projects. It's great! It's fun! There are no boring lectures! Instead, there are trips and discovery activities which make learning fun.

Due to space restrictions, registration is limited. Class size is small to ensure individual attention and completion of all projects. Participants will be accepted on a first come basis.

Eastern Region 4-H Fashion and Design Camp

Technology Camp

4-H'ers at computer campTechnology Camp is open to 4-H'ers in grades 6-12. Tech camp is an opportunity for youth to learn new technology skills or improve on the skills they already have in a camp setting.

Programs will be offered in the following areas:
• GPS (Global Positioning Systems)
• Digital Video and Photography
• Blogging
• Podcasting
• Other science, engineering, and technology areas

Environmental Summer Camp

Youth holding snakesEnvironmental Summer Camp is for students in grades 4-6 who have an interest in learning about environmental issues.

Canoe in the calm waters of the Nolichuckey river as you learn about your surroundings. Learn about forest ecology while taking a trip on the Appalachian Trail. Take a night hike in the forest and in a wetland. Study the wonders of the night sky in an astronomy class. These are only a few of the adventures that await you.
