Youth in Governance

Community involvement (or "civic engagement") is part of being a responsible citizen. You don't have to wait until you're "an adult" to be an engaged citizen. You are a citizen now! You are a citizen of your town, your state, and your country.

As a citizen, you have the right and responsibility to be involved and to have your voice heard at the local, state, and even national level. No matter your age, you can be actively engaged in what happens in the world around you.

This Web site is designed to help 4-H'ers find ways to be actively involved in their communities. There are ideas for ways to be civically engaged, useful resources, links to more great information, and a way to report what you're doing in your community.

So, find some fellow 4-H'ers, family members, friends, volunteer leaders, 4-H agents, neighbors, and other caring citizens and explore . . .
