Tennessee
4-H Honor Clubs and All Stars were established as recognition
programs for 4-H members.
Honor
Club is organized statewide and provides recognition,
primarily within counties, of junior high 4-H members who
have demonstrated consistent leadership ability and have been
active members in their clubs and communities.
To
be eligible for Honor Club, 4-H members must submit an application,
be endorsed by their local 4-H leader, and approved by the
state 4-H office. Upon acceptance, a member receives a 4-H
Honor Club certificate and an Honor Club key. Opportunities
for citizenship and service activities, and leadership and
project development are key in Honor Club work. For more information,
visit the Honor Club Web
site.
All
Stars encourages service to others through both
individual and cooperative efforts. All Stars are required
to make a personal application of the All Star motto, "Service,"
in their local clubs and communities. For more information
on All Stars, including membership, upcoming activities, history
of the organization, and more, visit the All
Stars website.
