GUIDE FOR PARENTS ON VIOLENCE PREVENTION

Several years ago, the Office of School-University Research Relations was contracted to write a guide for parents about violence prevention. It quickly sold out of two printings and was put online in the public domain located at ceep.crc.uiuc.edu/pubs/ivpaguide.html. While it does need updating, the one-page summary sheets for parents and the developmental information is useful for those working with parents or in schools.

INPUT NEEDED FOR NATIONAL 4-H AFTERSCHOOL SURVEY

Your input is needed in continuing to tell the 4-H Afterschool story. All county Extension staff conducting 4-H Afterschool programs are asked to complete a survey to help determine the reach of 4-H Afterschool. The survey will be valuable in continuing the effort to raise funds to support the work. The survey is located at: ext.msstate.edu/survey/afterschool/ and should be completed by Friday, November 17, 2006.
