* Action
* Scenic
* People and sheep/goats
* Open category |
More than $1,000 will be awarded with $125 going to the grand prize winner in each of the four categories, $75 to the first runners-up in each category and a $50 prize to second runners-up in each category.

STARTING DATES FOR COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEMS
Jim Neel would like to have the starting dates for the schools systems in your county. He is seeking this information to use in evaluating potential dates for future Tennessee Junior Livestock Expositions.
More school systems are getting underway in early August. This has created conflicts for some exhibitors participating in the Tennessee Junior Livestock Exposition sheep events. This was not the case several years ago when the sheep events made the move to Cookeville. School systems are starting approximately a month earlier than a decade or so ago.
Send your information to Jim Neel at jneel@tennessee.edu. Once he has your dates, an evaluation can be made of the number of schools with starting dates that conflict with the current Expo schedule (the last week in July); and some other possibilities can be determined. We realize there will always be conflicts with band camps, football practices, etc., but we hope to minimize these as much as possible.

I have often lamented that we cannot close our ears with as much ease as we can our eyes.
