ADDITIONAL CAMP RESOURCES ON WEB SITE
At the recent camp planning meetings, the importance of SUPER registration for camp was stressed. When designing a camp registration module on SUPER, one should include the question, "What is your role at camp?" Possible answers would be Extension staff, adult volunteer, teen volunteer and camper.
In addition, there were requests for the 4-H SET promotional tools at some of the planning meetings. Information about the SET promotional tools and camp SUPER registration is on the Web site at 4h.tennessee.edu/centersandcamping/resources/index.htm.

KNOX COUNTY LEADS STATE IN HONOR CLUB INITIATES
Knox is currently the top county in the state in terms of number of Honor Club initiates for 2009. As of March 27, they had 17 new Honor Club members approved for membership. Sumner County was second with 14 initiates; Grainger was third with 12; White was fourth with 11; and Cheatham and Moore were tied for fifth with 9 each. The Central Region leads the state with 85 initiates.
We are convinced there is a positive correlation between the number of Honor Club members a county can qualify and the quality of the 4-H program in the county. Honor Club membership is based on participation. Unless many participation opportunities are made available, not many 4-H’ers will be able to qualify for Honor Club recognition. Go to 4h.tennessee.edu/honorclub/howmany.htm for a complete listing of Honor Club initiates by region and county for January, February and March of this year.

UT STUDENT LIVESTOCK ASSOCIATION CLUB LAMB SALE AND SKILL-A-THON
The UT Student Livestock Association Sale will take place Saturday, April 4. Viewing will begin at 2:00 p.m. with the sale starting at 3:00 p.m. The sale will be held at the UT Blount Farm. At this time it looks that there will be around 50 quality lambs for sale. Consigners include Dunagan Club Lambs, French Club Lambs and Carroll Club Lambs with more to be added. If anyone is interested in selling lambs or has any questions, please email Ryan Hensley at rhensle5@utk.edu or call 865-679-1862.
The Skill-A-Thon competition will begin at 11:00 a.m. The competition will be divided into three age divisions: 4th-5th grade, 6th-8th grade and 9th-12th grade. The winners in each division will be awarded a $75 voucher to be used toward the purchase of a lamb in B&B Club Lamb Sale; second place will receive a $50 voucher; and third a $25 voucher. This is a great opportunity for the 4-H'ers to practice for the Skill-a-Thon and earn some money to purchase their lamb.
Directions to the UT Blount Farm can be found by going to web.utk.edu/~bbclub/ClubLamb.htm.
