Lindsey Clayton of Warren County is the 2009 Tennessee 4-H Congress Speaker of the Senate. Lindsey, a sophomore at Warren County High School, is the daughter of Tish Watson and Kenny Clayton of McMinnville.
Lindsey's 4-H projects are citizenship; food science; and nutrition, health and fitness. She was a member of the state-winning consumer decision making judging team in 2007 which went on to place second at the 2008 National Western 4-H Roundup in Denver, Colorado. Lindsey was the fourth high overall individual in this national event.Lindsey has also found success in meats judging and public speaking and has been a state winner Photo Search contest.
Lindsey is recognized as a leader by her peers. She is currently the 4-H All-Star reporter for her county. She has served as June Dairy Month chairperson, a teen leader at camp and president of her county Honor Club. Lindsey was also the state level I winner in the nutrition, health and fitness project in 2007 and was recently named the state level I winner in the citizenship project. Outside of 4-H, Lindsey is the editor for her church's youth newsletter. She is also the Excel club sophomore director, and her school's student council sophomore treasurer.
