2001 Strategic Plan — From Vision to Action

The UT Agricultural Extension Service has made a choice—to be an active participant in creating its own future, and to influence the futures of those it serves. In 1999, the Extension Advisory Council recommended that Extension conduct a broad-based strategic planning process to guide decisions about its future in an ever-changing world.
The resulting strategic plan, introduced in December 2000, represented the ideas and thoughts of a wide spectrum of individuals, both within and outside the organization. The publication New Directions: From Vision to Action records the process and strategic plan for Extension.
Since the strategic plan was introduced, Extension faculty and staff have focused on three primary goals identified as vital to Extension's success. The publication From Vision to Action: Accomplishing Change highlights many significant accomplishments made in reaching Extension's goals.
