Welcome to UT Extension and my homepage. As a UT alumnus and an employee of UT Extension for 34 years, I am aware of the positive impacts our Extension programs have on the lives of Tennessee citizens. Every day in every county across the state, our agents, specialists and staff work to address issues, concerns and

problems facing farmers, families and 4-H youth.

Our programs help farmers and forest owners increase their profitability, make wise use of natural resources, maintain a safe and nutritious food supply and enhance the quality of life for farm and rural residents.

Our family and consumer sciences program addresses family needs such as parenting, nutrition, child care, family financial management, indoor air quality, elder and consumer fraud prevention, wellness, sustainable housing and children's environmental health.

Tennessee 4-H is the state's largest youth development program. Each year more than 350,000 youth, ages nine to 19, participate in programs that guide in developing and enhancing their life skills. These young people will become the leaders of tomorrow.

At this Web site, you also can view information such as our annual report, strategic plan, budgets, minutes from meetings and messages from the dean's office.

UT Extension always welcomes input from the people we serve. You can share your thoughts by contacting me at cgoan@utk.edu or (865) 974-7114.
