problems facing farmers, families and 4-H youth.
Our programs help farmers and forest owners increase their profitability, make wise
use of natural resources, maintain a safe and nutritious food supply and enhance the quality of life for
farm and rural residents.
Our family and consumer sciences program addresses family needs such as parenting,
nutrition, child care, family financial management, indoor air quality, elder and consumer fraud
prevention, wellness, sustainable housing and children's environmental health.
Tennessee 4-H is the state's largest youth development program. Each year more than 350,000
youth, ages nine to 19, participate in programs that guide in developing and enhancing their life skills.
These young people will become the leaders of tomorrow.
