The Cooperative Extension Professionals' Organization Professional Extension Organizations in Tennessee Tennessee Extension professionals have the opportunity and are encouraged to be active members of professional organizations. Four professional Extension organizations are active in Tennessee. In addition to Epsilon Sigma Phi, Extension professionals may join the following: TAE4-HW (Tennessee Association of Extension 4-H Workers) - Objectives - • To advance the professional status of Extension personnel involved in 4-H work. • To encourage professional improvement and improved professionalism among members. • To provide a medium for the exchange of ideas, methods and techniques as they relate to planning and implementing the Extension 4-H program within Tennessee, and to further provide the same opportunities with Extension 4-H workers throughout the nation, through affiliation with the National Association of Extension 4-H Agents (NAE4-HA). • To promote and increase interest in Extension as a career with primary emphasis on 4-H work. • To promote understanding and cooperation among all Extension workers to strengthen the total Extension program.
The Tennessee Extension Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (TEAFCS) Mission - TEAFCS educates its professionals to empower individuals and families to make informed decisions. Vision - • being the VOICE for professionals in Extension family and consumer sciences program development; • providing an information NETWORK for its members; • providing continuing EDUCATION for Extension professionals; • and recognizing Extension professionals through awards and RECOGNITION.

Tennessee Association of Agricultural Agents and Specialists (TAAA&S)
TAAA&S is an association of Extension Educators/Professionals working in agriculture, horticulture, natural resources, 4-H youth development, community development, administration and related disciplines.
Mission
• Further the professional improvement of its members;
• Promote communication and cooperation among all Extension Educators;
• Enhance the image of Extension; and
• Develop personal growth opportunities of Extension professionals.
