Development of the Stored Grain IPMProgram in Tennessee to provide grain producers with the latest information and procedures to control insects in farm stored grain. This program has allowed producers who store grain on their farms to prevent and even eliminate insect pests in their grain bins. Additional IPM Programs include the Soybean IPM and Corn IPM programs for delivery of the most recent developments in those crops of insect pest control recommendations. A Pheromone trapping program is also associated with Corn IPM to alert producers of potential pest problems in corn. Traps are placed in corn fields that have had problem insect pests such as the southwestern corn borer and black cutworms.
