Executive Board Meeting Minutes
After discussion on several sounds systems for our
meetings, it was decided more research is needed before a decision is
reached.
David Baker is editing the new directory and will have 70
copies available at the next meeting.
The nominating committee will present a slate of officers
at the October meeting. Nominations from
the floor will be accepted with voting to be held at the November meeting.
For the Christmas banquet, Linda Earp will decorate and
furnish the meat and potatoes. Members
will bring salads, vegetables, and desserts.
Each member can bring one guest.
A sign up sheet will be passed around in October and November to provide
a tentative head count for the dinner.
A motion was passed to allot $50 each for the two Extension
Office Administrative Assistants, in appreciation for their help through out
the year.
Shan Smith will buy $200 worth of gift cards to be used as
door prizes at the December meeting.
The Master Gardeners will participate in a food drive for
the December meeting. People can begin
bringing canned and non-perishable food items in November.
Garden Tour plans will begin at the January meeting.
The plant sale on September 26th brought in
$642.
Karla will give the October program in lieu of the speaker
who cancelled. She will speak on “Tree
Selection Planning” (planting, pruning, and general maintenance of trees).
The November meeting will be “Yules
and Tools”---Christmas decorations by Yvonne Hiett
and Linda Earp and tools by Tracy Jackson.
Shan Smith looking into Master Gardener tee shirts and
reusable water bottles. A decision was
made to start with good quality tee shirts with a black and white Master
Gardener logo, due to the expensive set up fee for a colored logo. To keep costs down on the water bottles, they
will be printed with Montgomery County Master Gardeners.
Two Master Gardeners will be appointed to serve as auditors
before Ann Langmack’s term ends in January.
